Hay Point Coal Terminal Expansion BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA) is currently progressing Government and Owner approvals for the expansion of the Hay Point Coal Terminal's capacity from 44 Mtpa to approximately 55 Mtpa. The Hay Point Coal Terminal expansion, if approved, will involve the construction of a new third berth. Existing trestle conveyors and surge bins will be replaced, overland conveyors will be constructed to transfer coal from the stockpile to the jetty and a shiploader will be constructed on the new third berth. The proposed expansion requires a range of Commonwealth and State environmental approvals. BMA is currently progressing these approvals with statutory authorities. |
