More STS cranes now delivered fully-erect

More STS container cranes are now delivered fully-erect, complete and in operational condition directly from our fabrication port across the oceans to buyer’s port terminal quays.

Inclosed pls find phtos taken last week with regard to one of the new STS cranes transported from our manufacture port to one port in Sri Lanka.

The big Giant STS crane was loaded from our front quay by two cargo cranes equipped on Heavy-Lift vessel from Europe.

Before most of cranes were delivered by towed cargo barges, although towed barge option is less expensive from a day rate point of view, additional expenses, such as the heavier seafastenings, higher cargo insurance premium, longer transit time and etc. need to be in included in the cost.

In order to assure the safe transportation, the crane structure was internally reinforced before loading to accommodate the worst case inertia forces it may be subject to during the voyage. Additional bracings were welded to stiffen the large open portals.
